Inline Poll

A single-question poll dropped mid-article, with real radio-button options and a result bar that appears once the reader votes. Keyboard- and screen-reader-operable out of the box; your own API call owns persisting the vote and the caller supplies the tallies back in — this never fakes a backend.

PropTypeDefaultDescription
slugstringrequiredStable identifier for this poll — passed back in the vote event detail and used for the fieldset/radio names.
questionstringrequired—
optionsPollOption[]required—
resultsRecord<string, number>—Vote counts per option id, if the caller already knows them (e.g. after a reload). Omit before any votes exist.
votedOptionIdstring—Option id the current visitor already voted for, if any — renders the poll straight into its result state.

velocityx drops these into your project:

  • components/velocity/inline-poll/InlinePoll.astro

None.

Colours come from the primary-* / accent-* Tailwind scales, so this drops into a project that is not Velocity without dragging our brand in. Install the contract once:

Terminal window
velocityx theme

Then set your whole brand in one place — raw RGB channels, not hex (a hex here silently breaks every opacity variant):

:root {
--vx-brand: custom;
--vx-primary-600: 220 38 38;
}

There is no component-level font-family anywhere in the library — your font cascade wins.

Commercial, for the duration of an active Velocity X subscription. The source is served by the licence-gated endpoint, never by the public CDN.
